Delivery Information
All gifts are sent using Next Day Parcel Force signed-for which ensures your gift will arrive by the next working day after your order is placed, timed options are available in addition to our standard free delivery which is between 8am and 6pm. Some restrictions / limitations apply, which are as follows: Orders for next working day delivery must be placed by 7pm on the preceding day. Any orders received after this time and intended for next day delivery will be delivered on the next available working day. We cannot deliver on a Sunday or on a Bank Holiday. Orders placed for Monday delivery (excludes Bank Holiday Mondays) must be placed by the cut off time on the preceding Friday and will be despatched on that Friday.
It is important that you, the customer, ensure that all the delivery details of the recipient are correct, as we cannot accept any liability for failed deliveries as a result of incorrect information. It is the sender's repsonsibility to ensure that the recipient is able to accept the gift and not Next Day Flowers Ltd. We cannot accept responsibility for failed deliveries due to the recipient being out at the time. If you are unsure of the recipient's address, we recommend using http://www.royalmail.co.uk
Where delivery is to a hospital, reception, doorman, or any other premises where a third party may be required to sign for the gift, you the sender, and Next Day Flowers Ltd accepts that signature as successful delivery, and it is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that any third party signing for the gift has the authority to do so. Next Day Flowers Ltd accepts no liability for mislaid deliveries as a result of a third party accepting and signing for the gift.
Hospitals
Hospital deliveries can carry a level of difficulty for many reasons. Patients may have been discharged or moved to a different ward, and there can be more than one person matching the name of the recipient. Please ensure that the delivery / recipient / ward information is accurate and up to date as Next Day Flowers Ltd cannot be held liable for incorrect or failed deliveries as a result of this information.
Please also be aware that hospitals all have different health and safety and contamination policies regarding the acceptance of flowers. Some wards may not accept your flowers or may only allow them in certain parts of the hospital such as reception or other rooms, again Next Day Flowers Ltd cannot be held liable for incorrect delivery as a result of these varying rules, and it is up to the sender of the gift to ensure that the gift can be accepted..
Availability and substitution
Flowers are a living seasonal product and as such availability can vary throughout the year. Next Day Flowers Ltd only offer floral arrangements that we feel confident in supplying and therefore most gifts should arrive as described. However, some rare-occurring factors outside of our control such as grower supply / delivery issues, may lead to the substitution of certain flowers, however, in cases where substitution takes place we will always endeavour to use the most similar equivalent where available.
Complaints / Refunds
Next Day Flowers Ltd endeavour on all occasions to deliver a floral gift of the highest quality. However, on rare occasions items may arrived damaged due to the delivery process.
In cases where damaged flowers are received we urge the recipient or sender to contact us immediately so that we can either arrange to send another gift on the next available delivery date, or organise a partial / full refund. The extent of the refund will depend on the extent of damage to the flowers. We will offer a replace or a refund; however, we will not offer both.
All complaints regarding the delivered condition of flowers and gifts must be made with 3 days of the delivery date. We will not consider complaints about damaged deliveries after this period.
In order to qualify for either a resend or refund Next Day Flowers Ltd reserves the right to ask for either photographic evidence of the damage, or for the item to be returned to Next Day Flowers Ltd, Unit 1 Venture 7, Brympton Way, Lynx West Trading Estate, Yeovil BA20 2HP, so that we are able to inspect the damage and seek suitable compensation from our couriers.
Although we do our best to ensure that this does not happen, on very rare occasions, flowers arrive at their destination damaged or fail to arrive due to an unforeseen delivery issue. If the recipient receives damaged flowers, please contact us immediately so that we can arrange one of the following:
All refunds (including the percentage of refund) or resends are at the complete discretion of Next Day Flowers Ltd. We reserve the right to refuse refunds or resends where we believe that the flowers sent are of an acceptable quality / vase life or where we feel that a fraudulent claim is being made against us.
Vase Life of Flowers
Next Day Flowers Ltd purchase flowers daily as they arrive from Holland. We immediately condition and store the flowers in optimum refrigerated conditions. You can expect the flowers sent to last approximately one week, and in many many cases longer. Optimum vase life is of course reliant on adequate care and attention. The following flower care instructions should be adhered to:
General Flower Care Instructions
Always ensure that any vase or container you are using is well cleaned before use as any dirt can result in bacteria forming. Ensure any foliage is above the water level as this can also cause bacteria to form. Avoid sources of heat or drafts, change the water at least twice a week and re-cut the stems (at a slant) about 3 – 5mm, and add adequate feed solution to the water. On rare occasions your rose or lily may appear to be wilting prematurely, this may be caused by an airlock in the stem. To remedy this problem we suggest cut approx 5mm off the end of the stem (at a slant), and then submerging the stem (approx 1 inch) into boiling water for approximately 10 seconds, and then immediately submerge the whole length of the stem into deep cold water, this in many cases will free the airlock and allow the flower to absorb water and be revived.
Acceptable Behaviour
Whilst we accept that failed deliveries and errors can lead to frustration at what might be a sensitive time, Next Day Flowers Ltd will not in any circumstances accept abusive behaviour be it via email or telephone, and reserve the right to terminate any dialogue that is deemed unacceptable. We reserve the right decline orders or communications from previously abusive customers and or block any access to our services where we deem necessary.
